St. Patrick's Day Parade

commences on Saturday, March 14th, 2015 at 11:00AM.
2015 will put another milestone on the twenty one years of continued tradition and mark the fourth year that the parade is presented by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau.

MEET OUR FIRST-EVER GRAND MARSHAL!

Actor Kevin Ryan joins the procession this Saturday as the inaugural Grand Marshal of the 21st Annual Hermosa Beach St Patrick's Day Parade.

Hailed as Ireland's newest emerging star and voted one of Ireland's sexiest Irishmen two years consecutively, Kevin starred as Detective Francis Maguire in the BBC America period drama series "Copper," John Finnegan in the pirate-themed series "Crossbones" with John Malkovich, J.J. Fitzgerald in the independent film "Songs for Amy" screened at the 2013 Hollywood Film Festival, and most recently as a member of the prestigious cast of "Sons of Liberty" on the History Channel in January. Next up, Kevin stars in the film "Enclosure" due for release this summer, costarring Fiona Dourif and Jake Busey.

Kevin represents the formidable trifecta of actor, writer and producer, and joins us on the heels of winning Best Producer at the London International Film Festival of World Cinema where his film "Paddy's in the Boot" was nominated for 7 awards including Best Director, Best Producer, Best Actor (Kevin as Connor Quinn), and Best Supporting Actor.

And now a rising philanthropist, Kevin runs the 2015 LA Marathon Sunday and within 5 weeks, the 2015 Boston Marathon to raise money for the Boston-based Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Hopkinton Center raises funds to develop local talent for the youth of Boston. (hopartscenter.org)

Come cheer Kevin and send him off to the Marathons with a warm Hermosa wave!!

SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS

In what has become a popular tradition in Hermosa Beach, the parade draws an estimated 30,000 people each year who come to enjoy the parade as well as the great dining, shopping and beautiful beach weather that Hermosa Beach offers.

The parade begins at the staging area near City Hall on Valley Drive, makes a left onto Pier Avenue and ends at the corner of Hermosa Avenue and 10th street.

Nearly 100 local businesses, civic organizations and school marching bands traditionally take part in the seven block parade down the beautifully restored Pier Avenue. The Irish theme of Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated by the many participants in the festivities including bagpipers, floats and four legged friends from the Irish Setters Club of Southern California.
