ELIGIBILITY

Fiesta Hermosa is open to artists, makers, retailers and food vendors. Our goal is to present a show with variety, quality, diversity, presentation and originality (as shown in your photographs).  The Chamber reserves the right to limit the number of applicants for any one category.  The submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the event.

Items not allowed to be sold at Fiesta Hermosa:  stolen merchandise, pets, designer knock-offs, amplified music, microphones, firearms, ammunition, alcoholic beverages, marijuana, cannabis edibles, drugs, knives, swords, X-rated items, or any other items deemed dangerous are not allowed on the event site.  Violators will be expelled and fees will not be returned.

SELECTION PROCESS

The Fiesta Hermosa committee will evaluate and select all applications with photos, business descriptions and the list of art, retail or food items proposed for sale. The vendor booth evaluations will take place the week of March 18, 2024.

Note: HBCC has a 'No Exclusivity' policy; retail and food vendors that have participated in prior Hermosa Fiesta events are not guaranteed acceptance.

Vendors must stay within their rented space. Tents and tables must stay within their space - no pushing tents out from the curb thereby blocking the view of neighboring vendors.  Walkabout solicitation or “barking” is not permitted. You may only exhibit or sell items listed on your application. No food or drinks may be sold or sampled in your booth without securing the necessary health permits.

ECO-FRIENDLY EVENT

City of Hermosa Beach imposed ordinances regulating the use of:

  • polystyrene (aka Styrofoam)
  • plastic bags
  • plastic straws
  • balloons
  • smoking
  • A-frame (sandwich board) advertising

Vendors found to be in violation of the Hermosa Beach environmental rules will be closed down indefinitely until the infraction is remedied (i.e. biodegradable products are sourced and available for use in the Food Court). HBCC will not refund any fees or loss of revenue.

FREE SPEECH POLICY

Pre-approved political promotion will only be allowed in the Free Expression area. All groups or individuals desiring to leaflet, distribute written materials or engage in any political, religious, charitable or other form of solicitation activities at Fiesta Hermosa must apply for the Free Expression Zone with the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce as space is limited and Hermosa Beach-based organizations will be given priority.  All registrants will be assigned space within the Free Expression Zone. Activities must be conducted at the registrant’s pre-assigned space within the Free Expression Zone. Participants cannot walk around or distribute materials in front of other booths. These activities shall not interfere with the orderly and safe movement of the crowd and are not permissible anywhere else inside the Fiesta Hermosa grounds.  Engaging in these activities at any location other than the Free Expression Zone is grounds for removal from the Fiesta.

PHOTOS FOR PUBLICITY

Vendors give Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce permission to release photos, if taken, for publication and media.  Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce may use photos to promote the event, business or as they see fit.
